Canada (i/ˈkænədə/) is a North American Country comprising of ten provinces and three territories. Located in the to the north part of the countries, it expands from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean. Canada is the world's second-largest homeland by total locality, and its widespread boundary with the United States is the world's longest land boundary.
The land that is now Canada has been inhabited for millennia by diverse Aboriginal peoples. starting in the late 15th century, British and French colonial expeditions explored, and subsequent resolved, the region's Atlantic seaboard area. France ceded nearly all of its colonies in North America to Britain in 1763 after the Seven Years' conflict. In 1867, with the amalgamation of three British North American colonies through Confederation, Canada was formed as a federal dominion of four provinces. This started an accretion of provinces and territories and a method of increasing autonomy, culminating in the Canada Act 1982.
Canada is a government state ruled as a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy, with Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state. Canada's advanced economy is one of the largest in the world, relying chiefly upon its abundant natural assets and well-developed trade systems, especially with the United States, with which it has had a long and complex relationship.

Great Britain (Welsh: Prydain Fawr, Scottish Gaelic: Breatainn Mhòr, Cornish: Breten Veur, Scots: Great Breetain) (also renowned as Britain) is an island located to the north-west of Continental Europe. It is the ninth biggest isle in the world, the biggest European isle and the biggest of the British Isles. With a population of about 60.0 million persons in mid-2009, it is the third most populous isle in the world, after Java and Honshū. Great Britain is enclosed by over 1,000 lesser isles and islets. The island of Ireland lies to its west. Politically, Great Britain furthermore mentions to the island itself simultaneously with a number of surrounding isles which constitute the territory of England, Scotland and Wales.

The Kingdom of Great Britain produced from the political union of the kingdoms of England and Scotland with the Acts of amalgamation 1707 on 1 May 1707 under Queen Anne. In 1801, under a new proceed of Union, this kingdom merged with the Kingdom of Ireland to conceive the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. After the Irish conflict of Independence (1919–1921) most of Ireland seceded from the amalgamation, which then became known as the United Kingdom of Great Britain and to the north Ireland.
